Most of the weddings I see are beautiful, classy, feminine, etc. The inspiration varies from super traditional, to modern, chic and the the ever-so-popular vintage. I personally am a huge fan of all of those, but love when there is a not-so-girly, funkdified twist. It’s really fun to shoot details that the groomsmen are actually excited about.

These ties are the perfect example of that. They add a masculine, funky, and hip touch that am sure most guys would be happy to sport. Wouldn’t they compliment a group of James Dean looking hotties?

I found these “Perfect Beards” a few months ago on Etsy and am dying to add them to my photo booth/bridal party/engagement session prop collection. Apparently a lot of people had the same idea, they are sold out! I thought I would share anyway because I think they’re genius.

A side note on facial hair…I’ve always hated it, haaated it. I was trying very hard to stand my ground as the scruffy, not showered, half-shaven look became popular. I was sure I could do it when the full on, Oregon style lumberjack beards became mainstream. After months of resistance and numerous debates among friends, I finally surrender. They are growing on me. I kind of love them.

You know how I loooove my accessories extra large and elegant so when I saw this on Etsy’s blog today, I was smitten. This veil is absolutely beautiful! I think it would be just perfect for a chic fall or winter wedding. I can just see the photography…ahh, can’t get over it!

I am setting up my first photo booth for this weekend’s wedding and I am loving the whole props-at-a-wedding trend! Not only is it fun to have items in the photo booth but its super cute when a bridal party shot includes a prop or two. Since I heart nerds like it’s going out of style, today’s Etsy find is these ultra nerdy but amazingly hot glasses. I think I might get some for engagement shoots & just to have!

Today’s Wedding Etsy find is inspired by my ever-growing toddler obsession. One of my favorite “details” to photograph at a wedding is the lil’ ones in their formal wear. How cute are these assorted ties? The designs are absolutely adorable for any lil’ guys, guests and ring bearers alike. LOVE, love the brown one on the right!

Etsy find – 4th of July Style

Many people are not aware of this, but I have cupcake baggage. Me and cupcakes have a past…a dark past that I just can’t discuss on this happy post.
However, when I found these mini 4th of July inspired pinwheels, cupcakes and all, I fell in love. It totally makes me want to get over my issues and whip up a batch, just so I can decorate them.

Seersucker – an Etsy Wedding Find!

Think bright red lobster, medal ice buckets, navy blue Sperrys, and groomsman galore with seersucker bow ties! I guess if you’re in Connecticut or Maine you see it all the time, but we don’t in California. While searching through Etsy today, I found these and wondered why I don’t see hardly any seersucker out here. How cute would it be…cream tuxes, straw fidoras, palm tress, and a seersucker accent? There is something about a man in tiny blue stripes!
