This is my happy place. My hope is that someday it will

destination, my grandma’s never ending hugs, wobbly toddlers, running
really really fast, fine art, my beach cruiser, an ice cold
dirty martini, a piping hot vanilla latte, lazy days, feeling
accomplished, Paula Abdul, uncontrollable laughter, Lifetime movies, memories,
capturing memories.

Six Month Old Photography Session – Baby Bella – Long Beach, CA

iphone photos from Happy Hour – Bodega Wine Bar, Santa Monica

I have over 500 photos in my “iphone photo journal” because I take a photo or two at almost every place I go. I look through them ALL the time, whether to simply cheer me up or to show friends my most recent adventures. They remind me of what I’ve done and just like any photo album, make me smile. They make me realize how fortunate I am. Sometimes I’m inspired to get creative and other times I’m just snapping away. These are some I took at Bodega Wine Bar in Santa Monica last week. It was an impromptu happy hour, but it was also a night with friends that I don’t want to forget.

Los Angeles Area Engagement Photo Sessions – What to Wear

What to wear Tip #2 – Get your guy involved. So many of my guy friends don’t even know what an engagement shoot is. The first way to get your guy involved is to educate him. Explain to him why the shoot is important and show examples of engagement shoots that you like. This one would be hard for me, but ask him for ideas on location, possible themes, and clothing.

This tip is a “what to wear post” because a really good way to get him involved is to go shopping together before the shoot. Before you do this, discuss with him if he wants to be formal or casual, how many looks you’ll do, and what types of outfits best represent you two. Whether he picks out a few staple items, a stylish hat, a funny graphic tee, or a big ol’ watch (like the one below), encourage him to get excited about the clothes he will be wearing. I guarantee the shoot will turn out better!

One Year Old – Babycakes Photography

Little Ky is one of the happiest babies I’ve ever photographed, but during her one-year-old babycakes shoot we discovered she doesn’t like to get dirty. She’s still amazingly adorable though!
